Bringing Beauty & Knowledge to
Urban Areas and its People Around the World

Kuumba pronounced Koo-OOM-bah, is a Swahili word for creativity, specifically to always do as much as we can in the way that we can in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it.

With that in mind, Kuumba Gardens was created to teach children and adults to make our planet and communities more sustainable, our goal is to increase self sufficiency through urban square foot gardening, composting, recycling etc.

To improve quality of life among people with focus on black communities, children and vigorous protection of the environment.

To Educate the public in ecology with emphasis on creating a rich environment in which flora and fauna will increase the ecological well being of the surrounding area and all life forms can flourish.

We are planting seeds and creating memories so when the children grow up and adults "wake up", they will remember to plant trees and gardens and leave their communities better than when they arrived.

Your generous financial help is an investment in the future that pays dividends for a lifetime.
